Victims Identified In Recent Car Accidents
The Newberry County Coroner’s Office along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a multiple vehicle collision that occurred on Friday morning, April 23. The call was received by 911 Communications at approximately 7:39 am. The collision occurred at the intersection of Bethel Church Road at Seibert Road in Newberry County.
Coroner Laura Kneece has identified Mr. Urijah Quick, 22, of Columbia, SC, as the decedent in the collision. It is unknown currently if Mr. Quick was wearing a seat belt.
This incident remains under investigation of the Newberry County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The call was received by 911 Communications at approximately 6:50 pm. The collision occurred on interstate 26 eastbound at the 83mile marker in Newberry County.
Coroner Laura Kneece has identified Ms. Mary Maner, 76, of Lexington, SC, as the decedent in the collision. An autopsy has been scheduled for this week. It is unknown currently if Ms. Maner was wearing a seat belt.
