SC Arrows For Heroes Walking To Raise Awareness For Veterans

On Thursday, August 29, Greg Quarles, Executive Director and Southeast Chapter President for SC Arrows for Heroes embarked on a 357-mile walk across South Carolina to raise awareness for Veterans and SC Arrows for Heroes. SC Arrows for Heroes is the SC Chapter of a national, Veteran-run, non-profit organization using the sport and art of archery to help combat/service Veterans cope, heal and experience being part of a team again. Arrows for Heroes specializes in adaptive archery for those who have suffered some of the most severe physical wounds in service to our country.

Greg is a three-time Purple Heart recipient who served multiple tours in Afghanistan and Iraq as a US Army Airborne Ranger.

On Tuesday, Greg and some others made their way through Newberry from the Kinards area. In the above photo, the walkers with Mayor Foster Senn in downtown Newberry.
