At the recent City Council meeting, David Parnell with Newberry County Veteran Affairs was recognized for creating the annual Veterans Day luncheon with Samsung, for his help in coordinating the annual Veterans Day parade in Newberry and for leading the annual Memorial Day ceremony at Memorial Park for many years.
