Driver Identified In Fatal Accident On Wednesday Night
The Newberry County Coroner’s Office, along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, are investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred on Wednesday evening just before 9 pm. The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 34 and Graham Road in the Pomaria area of Newberry County.
Coroner Laura Kneece has identified Virginia Hollingsworth, 37, of Winnsboro as the decedent in the collision. An autopsy has been scheduled for this week. There is no evidence that Ms. Hollingsworth was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to an area hospital in which they were treated and released.
