 In Local News

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control has set two dates for public drive-through COVID-19 testing near the Newberry College campus. The sessions will take place at the college’s Center for Teacher Education, located at 1121 Speers St. in Newberry.

Testing will be available Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., provided first-come, first-served by Self Regional Healthcare. The second date will be Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., provided by DHEC staff.

For both sessions, no appointments or insurance are required, and there is no out-of-pocket cost for testing. Patients will enter and exit the testing queue via Chapman Street.
