The following update is from Wayne Redfern (City’s Planning and Development department) with respect to the nursing building and athletic building on Newberry College’s campus:

They are putting the finishing touches on the interior (of the nursing building) and should start paving late next week. They are presently on schedule to finish by the end of July.

As for the Athletics Building, it has locker rooms, toilet, and shower facilities for several of the athletic teams and toilets for the public on the first floor. The upper level has coaches offices, donor suites and a large viewing deck. They are trying to get the first floor ready by the end of July and the upper level in late August.

The following update is for Home2Suites:
Home2Suites has been slightly delayed due to delivery and construction issues. They are presently scheduled to open in September.
