UPDATE: Victim Identified In Fatal Crash On Saturday Night
UPDATE: Newberry County Coroner, Laura Kneece, Marisela Gaither, 48, of Winnsboro as the victim who died in a single car motor vehicle collision. The collision occurred on July 19, in the 3000 block of St. Philips Church Road area of Newberry County.
An autopsy has been requested and will be performed this week.
This incident remains under investigation through Newberry County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Brandon Bolt, a crash that happened shortly after 11 pm on Saturday night killed the sole occupant of a Honda sedan.
This crash took place on St. Philip’s Church Road in Newberry County near SC Highway 219.
A 2022 Honda sedan was apparently heading east on St. Philip’s Church Road when it went off the right side of the road, hitting a mailbox, veering off the left side and then hitting a wooden post, an embankment and a tree.
The driver, the sole occupant of the car, died at the scene, and The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
