Two Deputies Involved In Off-Duty Collision Last Week

Two of the Detention Deputies of the Newberry County Sheriff’s Department were involved in an off-duty motor vehicle collision last week.

The accident involving their compact car and a trailer truck resulted in a fire.

The two individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, despite sustaining injuries, they are returning to work.

The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office extends gratitude to the responding fire and rescue teams from Little Mountain and Prosperity, EMS, Good Samaritans, and colleagues at the Sheriff’s Office for their prompt response and assistance.
