Two Arrests In Vehicle Theft, One Person Still Wanted

Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster announces the arrest of two individuals and wanting of a third suspect in the theft of a vehicle out of Greenville, SC and a subsequent chase.

On May 16, Deputies were notified of a stolen 2025 Range Rover from Greenville being in Newberry County. A Newberry County Deputy Sheriff spotted the vehicle on Whitner Rd. near US Hwy 76 and attempted to stop. The vehicle sped off and led deputies on a wide ranging chase, which ended when the driver abandoned the vehicle on Tripod Road off of Shrine Club Rd. The three occupants fled into a wooded area. K9 teams from SLED and the Sheriff’s Office along with aviation assets were called in but the trail ended near the Fast Stop on CR Koon Highway.

Sheriff’s Deputies began an investigation and determined three individuals from Newberry County had stolen the vehicle in Greenville and came to Newberry. Members of the Sheriff’s Office Critical Response Team arrested Tyleik Jaeqwon Sanders, 20, of Upper Lane Newberry and Quattro Keazzhie Sanders, 22, of Upper Lane Newberry in separate operations.

A third suspect, Jamarius Tyreek Wilson, 23 is wanted in connection with the incident. They were charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Failing to Stop for a Law Enforcement Officer.

Sheriff Foster credited the Deputies investigating the incident with using many different mechanisms to identify the suspects and solve the case. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Wilson are urged to call 803-321-2222.
