One person was injured after a shooting incident that happened in Newberry County at around 6 pm on Saturday.

The shooting occurred on Swittenburg Drive appparently after an argument between two individuals who knew each other.

One of the individuals suffered a single gunshot wound to the lower leg. EMS and Prosperity Rescue transported the individual to an area hospital. The wound seems to be non life-threatening.

The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
