The School District of Newberry County is pleased to announce that Newberry Middle School has been awarded $108,000 through the 2024–2025 Strategic Compensation Grant from the South Carolina Department of Education.

The Strategic Compensation Pilot Grant Program is designed to support innovative strategic educator compensation initiatives in public and charter schools which align with Proviso 1.113 of Act 226, the General Appropriations Act of 2024. These initiatives emphasize recognizing and rewarding high-impact teaching based on measurable student growth in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
