According to authorities, a Newberry County man is facing multiple counts related to child sex abuse material.

Timothy Kent Hart, 41, was arrested and charged after Internet Crimes Against Children task force investigators received a tip that allegedly led them to Hart.

Hart reportedly possessed files of child sex abuse material.

He was arrested on Friday (September 26) and charged with five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, which is a felony offense that holds up to 10 years in prison per count.

He is currently being held at the Newberry County Detention Center with a bond set at $50,000.
