As we have been reporting, Newberry College has been named one of the best colleges in South Carolina for getting a job, according to a recent report by Zippia.
The career resource website ranked employment levels of graduates from 31 South Carolina four-year institutions, and Newberry clinched the No. 8 spot on the list.
“Being ranked No. 8 demonstrates the time and effort we dedicate to helping students grow professionally and personally,” said Patrick Smith, director of career services. “We pride ourselves on making sure students are fully equipped with the necessary skills to enter the workforce and hit the ground running.”
Using data from the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard, Zippia measured the percentage of college alumni employed 10 years after graduation.
The results show Newberry graduates leading the state in finding meaningful vocations, with 91.36 percent in gainful employment.
“We could not be prouder of our graduates,” said Christopher Harris, dean of enrollment management. “The numbers show, time and time again, the value of a Newberry education, not only for livelihood, but for life.”
