Missing Laurens County Girl Found
Just after we reported this story yesterday afternoon that the FBI had joined Laurens County authorities in this search, this information was released. Here is the story from WYFF-TV www.wyff4.com:
Deputies in Laurens County, South Carolina, said an 11-year-old girl reported missing two weeks ago has been found.
Deputies said Ruby Guevara was located safe in Maryland, but did not immediately release where she was found or information about how they found her.
Investigators previously said the girl was last seen at about 9 p.m. Sunday, May 5, on Georgia Road in Gray Court.
They said at the time she left the home and was believed to be with 21-year-old Rafael Garcia.
Officials confirmed Monday that Garcia was arrested.
News of the arrest came just an hour after deputies said the FBI had joined the search.
