The Law Enforcement Officers’ Association Annual Fourth of July Fireworks will be tonight between 9-9:15pm in the area of Newberry High School.
Because of COVID, the campus and associated offices of the Newberry County School District will be CLOSED.
Parking and viewing will be allowed at Lowes. The West Family has graciously allowed parking at their properties along the SC 219 corridor.
We are asking people attending to practice social distancing and remain at their vehicles. Please try to avoid congregating in groups outside of your family.
Although we are in a public health crisis, the fireworks show will go on since it does not require people to gather in large groups, such as in the stadium.
Hopefully, this will allow us to celebrate our Independence and to provide some form of normalcy.
WKDK is providing patriotic music for this year’s show. Tune your car radio to 1240 AM or our app supplied in the Google and Apple stores on your phone, or TuneIn app, which is free. You can also visit our website at www.wkdk.com and click on “Listen Now.”
The Newberry County Law Enforcement Officers Association thanks their title sponsor SAMSUNG for the grand finale and presenting sponsors WILSON TRACTOR, STOKES-TRAINOR, and FALCON BOATS.
They also would like to thank the many other businesses and individuals along with our law enforcement officers that contributed to make this possible this year!
