A crash involving a box truck and a small SUV caused a fatality on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Laurens County Coroner’s Office, the multi-vehicle crash occurred outside of Clinton on Charlottes Road near Highway 72.

Laurens County Deputy Coroner Ashley Rushton has identified the victim as Nicolas Perez Mendez, 54,  of Spartanburg.
