Residents are suggested to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking until otherwise notified by the Whitmire Commission of Public Works. Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. The Whitmire Commission of Public Works will collect bacteriological samples on Friday, October 13. The samples will be analyzed on Saturday, October 14. An update to this advisory will then be issued.
