Clinton Police Arrest Suspect In Fatal Shooting

The Clinton Police Dept. (CPD) has made an arrest in connection with the homicide that occurred at Forrest Glen Apartments on Sunday night.
Just before 10:00 PM on Sunday, officers with the CPD responded to a reported shooting at Forrest Glen Apartments in the City of Clinton.
Upon arrival, officers located an individual who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Laurens County Coroner Patti Canupp identified the victim as 23-year-old Enoshia Cromer, a female from Clinton. Canupp said after an autopsy, the manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
CPD announced on Monday afternoon that with assistance from SLED, Greenwood Police Department and the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, Jalon Dendy turned himself in in connection with the murder of Enoshia Cromer.
Dendy has been booked into the Johnson Detention Center and is charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.
According to the CPD, at this time, there is no threat to the public.
