3,322 lab-confirmed tests were reported. During this current flu season, there have been a total of 6,136 lab-confirmed tests reported.
Newberry County is one of the counties in the state with the most reported flu cases. Neighboring Laurens County is also in this group, as well as the Columbia, Spartanburg and Greenville areas.
As far as deaths from the flu, there has been one reported in the Upstate, one in the Midlands areas, one in the Lowcountry, and four deaths in the Pee Dee region so far this flu season.
