Man Wanted In Pomaria Dollar General Robbery
The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help with respect to an incident that happened on Friday night:
Last night at around 8:45 am, a person entered the Dollar General on US Hwy 176 in Pomaria with an assault-type of rifle. He demanded money from a store clerk and a patron.
The suspect then fled from the store toward SC Hwy 202.
Deputies search for the suspect with dogs and a SLED helicopter, which was already in the area for a missing person in Whitmire.
The suspect is described as a black male wearing a heavy black jacket, a scarf/mask across the face, and a hat.
