Coroner Identifies Chapin High Student
Newberry County Coroner Laura Kneece has identified the body of a Chapin High School student as Fabian Douglas “Trey” Ruff, III, 17, of Little Mountain. Mr. Ruff was pronounced dead at his home on Tuesday morning at approximately 9:00 am.
This incident remains under investigation by the Newberry County Coroner’s Office, Newberry County Sheriff’s Office, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Child Fatality Unit.
