Single-Vehicle Collision Results In Fatality
Update: Newberry County Coroner Laura Kneece has identified the driver as Paul Edward Goldsberry, 61, of Pomaria as the decedent in this collision. Mr. Goldsberry apparently was not wearing a seatbelt, and an autopsy is scheduled for this week. This incident remains under investigation of the Newberry County Coroner’s Office and the SC Highway Patrol.
A single-vehicle collision that happened late Friday night claimed the life of an individual.
According to SC Highway Patrol Lance Corporal Nicholas Pye, the individual was driving a 2017 Chevrolet pickup and traveling west on Red Knoll Road, near Holy Trinity Church Road, in Newberry County. The individual veered off the road, struck a tree, and died from injuries.
