Shooting Incident Started In Lexington County
Update as of 7:55 pm:
The incident that terminated at the Lake Murray Public Safety Complex has been determined to have begun in Lexington County. Newberry County is assisting Lexington County at this time. There is no danger to the surrounding communities.
We received information shortly after 6 pm on Monday that deputies were investigating a shooting incident in the Fairview area.
Newberry County 911 received a call about a gunshot victim being transported in a privately owned vehicle on Wheeland Road headed to Macedonia Road.
The 911 operator directed the driver to the Fairview Public Safety Complex staffed by Newberry County EMS.
Deputies were in the progress of identifying the location of the incident. There was no apparent danger to the community.
