On Friday morning one of the Newberry County School District buses was involved in an accident while transporting students to Newberry Middle School and Newberry High School.

No serious injuries were reported.

For cautionary purposes, several students were transported for additional medical evaluations. Families of those students were directly notified by school officials.

The Newberry County School District expressed appreciation to all individuals and emergency personnel who responded quickly and assisted in ensuring the safety and well-being of the students.
