Power Outage Update, Weather Announcements
After numerous church cancellations from earlier today, we will keep you informed of future cancellations, closings and/or delays for around Newberry County because of the winter weather situation.
As reported earlier, Hawg Heaven in Prosperity is closed today (Sunday).
Pioneer Frozen Foods will operate on a 2-hour delay on Monday (January 17) for the entire facility.
As of Sunday 11:00 am, the Newberry Electric Co-op currently has around 4,000 members without power There are a lot of broken poles and downed lines across the service area due to ice. All of the crews are out working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
