Person Suspected Of Multiple Vehicle Thefts Caught On Sunday
Late Sunday afternoon, deputies were searching on Moates Road in the Belfast area for a person suspected of multiple vehicle thefts.
The person was described as a white male wearing a grey shirt and burgundy pants. He had been last seen on foot on Moates Road.
And at around 8:20 pm Sunday evening, authorities reported having found the suspect. He was captured in woods off of Moates Road.
Jason Julian Wertz, 43, of Honea Path is now in the Newberry County Detention Center awaiting bond.
