NOH Kicks Off 2019-2020 Season This Weekend!

The wait is over friends! Join the Newberry Opera House for a Kickin’ Kickoff to the 2019-2020 season on Saturday, August 24 (no tickets are required for the reception). The festivities will begin at 6:30 P.M. when the bars in the lobby open followed by a drawing for a pair of tickets to the Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder show that night at 7:25 P.M., so make sure to arrive early! All are invited to attend this celebration of the kick off of the first performance of the 22nd season at the Newberry Opera House. The celebration continues with a ribbon cutting in the lobby and a season welcome from Molly Fortune, Executive Director, followed by the performance of Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder (tickets are very limited to the performance).

The Opera House saw a phenomenal on sale date for the season on August 8. With a quarter of the revenue for the season being raised in one day, the Opera House saw a lot of traffic to the lobby, website and on the phone lines. Tickets are currently on sale for all Opera House presented performances. Notable headliners this season include the pioneer of soul music, multi-Grammy® winning artist and producer William Bell, SC’s own Edwin McCain, 90s Rock sensation Everclear, the award-winning Broadway musical – “Once,” Bluegrass and IBMA winners Dailey & Vincent and the list goes on! The Opera House welcomes back Travis Tritt, Paul Thorn, The Malpass Brothers, The Isaacs with Football Hall of Fame inductee Terry Bradshaw, James Gregory, Capitol Steps, The Marshall Tucker Band, and many more. New performers to the stage this season include Charleston natives – Stop Light Observations, Jackyl, The Don Felder Band (original guitarist of the Eagles), Blue Öyster Cult, The Kingdom Choir (as seen at the Royal Wedding), as well as many other great shows. With over 150 shows and events, there is something for everyone.
