Newberry Woman Arrested For Assault And Battery
As we have reported, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) arrested Lauren Folk, 35, on Monday for Assault and Battery Third Degree.
Folk, employed by The Boys and Girls Club afterschool program at Reuben Elementary, is accused of having grabbed the face of a four-year-old and pushing him backwards earlier this year.
The Newberry County School District released the following statement: “The School District of Newberry County has a partnership with Boys and Girls Club to provide after school care at several school locations. The Boys and Girls Club employs their own individuals for the after school care.”
Folk was booked at the Newberry County Detention Center, and the case will be prosecuted by the Eighth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
