Man In Custody After Stealing A Vehicle
On Wednesday afternoon, The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office and Newberry Police were searching Bachman Chapel and Claude Counts roads for Cody Lee Geiger.
Geiger stole a vehicle on Glenn Street earlier and was seen later walking on Bachman Chapel Road. The vehicle was recovered in that area.
Deputies and police officers were searching the area with K-9 units.
Later in the afternoon, Geiger was captured in a hay barn off Claude Counts Road by Sheriff’s Deputies, Newberry City Police and SLED. He is now in custody.
