Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster has announced the apprehension of an individual in connection with the April 7, 2025, burglary of a Newberry County church.

Joshua William Wright, 26, of Easley, was taken into custody in Pickens County and subsequently transported to the Newberry County Detention Center, where he will face bond for the burglary of Calvary Baptist Church.

Sheriff Foster credited investigators’ utilizastion of forensics, ground work, and citizens’ assistance in bringing Wright to justice.
