High Speed Chase In Kinards; Suspect In Custody
Early Saturday afternoon, deputies were on patrol in the Kinards section of Newberry County, and observed a suspicious vehicle with Georgia plates. The deputies engaged the car and it fled at a high speed. After a brief chase the subject drove into a field and fled on foot near Wise’s Bar-B-Que.
The suspect was described as a white male, wearing a ball cap and a beard, 5’07″, and weighing 150 lbs. He was believed to be Maddox Joe Bradford from Georgia, wanted for a probation violation in Georgia.
Bloodhounds, deputies and SLED Agents were searching the area, and residents were encouraged to remove keys from cars and lock doors.
The suspect was taken into custody soon afterwards.
