Coroner Identifies Victims In Recent Incidents
On Sunday we reported a shooting incident that took place earlier that morning over an issue with a dog. Newberry County Coroner Laura Kneece has identified the victim in that incident as Errick E. Walker, 36, of Newberry County. This incident remains under investigation by the Newberry County Coroner’s Office and the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office as well.
The Newberry County Coroner’s Office has also identified the person who was killed in the three-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday evening, December 22, on SC Highway 76 near Wessinger Road in Prosperity.
Coroner Laura Kneece has identified that individual as Karen Snell, 61, of Chapin. An autopsy revealed that she died of injuries received in that collision. There is evidence that she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
This incident remains under investigation by the Newberry County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
