Mr. Buddy Kunkle of the Prosperity area was recognized Friday with respect to his 106th birthday.

Raleigh Hickman with Newberry’s Department of Veteran Affairs presented him with a special proclamation.  Steven Noonan of the South Carolina Department of Affairs was also present.

Mr. Kunkle is the oldest veteran in South Carolina.
