Newberry County Coroner’s Office, along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, are investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Friday, July 24. The call was received to 911 Communications at approximately 1:21pm. The motor vehicle collision occurred near Boundary Street on Dennis Dairy Road in Newberry County.

Coroner Laura Kneece has identified Charles Christian Culbreth, 52, of Newberry as the victim in the motor vehicle collision. There was evidence that Culbreth was wearing a seatbelt. An autopsy was performed and this incident remains under investigation of the Newberry County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
