Arrests Made For Trafficking Meth; Possession Of Cocaine, Fentanyl
As we reported, the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of Jimmy Ray Harrison, 46, of 1132 Clarkson Ave, Newberry, and Craig Joseph Zenger, 33,of 7650 SC Hwy 391, Prosperity, for the offenses of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, and Possession of Fentanyl.
On October 10, while Investigators were patrolling the area of Macedonia Church Road, a vehicle was observed not being able to properly maintain the lane of travel and was stopped.
Upon the investigative traffic stop of the vehicle, Jimmy Ray Harrison was identified as the driver who was discovered to have a suspended driver’s license and no insurance on the vehicle.
During the continued investigative stop, investigators identified a passenger in the vehicle as Craig Joseph Zenger and discovered during a search an individual packaged bag concealed in Craig Zenger’s lap when he exited the vehicle.
Also, during the search, cocaine and fentanyl were located.
Both Harrison and Zenger were arrested and transported to the Newberry County Detention Center where they were being detained after a judge denied their bond.
“This is an increasingly growing problem in the County and State of drug trafficking and drug use. We are committed to continue our enforcement of seeking out individuals who are continuing to flood our communities with this dangerous drug”, said Sheriff Foster.
