Accident Cleared, Gas Leak Contained
UPDATE (11:21 am): The accident on SC 121 at Belfast is cleared, investigation and clean up continued.
CNNGA has contained the gas leak. The school was returned to normal operations.
As we have been reporting this morning, an accident happened earlier on SC Highway 121 at Belfast involving a log truck.
The accident punctured a natural gas line and there is an active leak. The area has been isolated and no traffic is allowed in area.
Out of precaution Newberry Middle School is on alert and is shelter in place. This, again, is for precautionary reasons.
Fire , Law Enforcement, and EMS are on scene, as well as the Gas Authority.
