One Person Dead, Two Injured In Sunday Morning Crash
A person is dead, and two individuals are in the hospital after a vehicle crash on Sunday morning.
The crash happened shortly after 10 am at Boyd’s Crossing and the CR Koon Highway.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Hannah Davidson, a 2018 Cadillac sedan was attempting to cross the CR Koon Highway when it drove into the path of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.
The Silverado then struck the Cadillac, flipping and causing the car to veer off the right side of the road. The car then hit a fence, a trailer, a parked car, and a building.
According to Davidson, the front seat passenger of the Cadillac died, and the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital for treatment.
This crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The Newberry County Coroner will be responsible for releasing the name of the deceased victim.
