County Council Offers Administrator Position To Inglese

Newberry County Council met Wednesday night, offering the position of County Administrator to Christopher Inglese.

Christopher Inglese has over twenty years of experience in public administration, urban planning and local governmental law and currently serves as director of planning and community development for the City of Georgetown.

Council approved a third and final reading of a fee in lieu of tax agreement with a company revealed to be Daeyoung Electronics.

Council approved second reading of an ordinance to amend the current fiscal year budget, which will put financing in place for the fee in lieu of tax incentives.

Council approved Matheny Burns Group for the comprehensive plan for planning and zoning.

Council approved Alliance Consulting Engineers for capital project sales tax cost estimates. The bid was for $85,000.

Council approved a bid from McClam and Associates for debris Grinding at the transfer station. The bid is for $507 an hour and is about 75 hours per quarter.
